About Gartenbau de Vries

Gartenbau de Vries has been a Gardengirls producer since 1995. The nursery in Tange produces a wide range of heath plants for specialist retailers on approximately 6 hectares. The target group includes garden centers, ornamental tree nurseries, cemetery gardeners, trade companies as well as smaller flower shops. As an innovative, up-and-coming, and modern company, Managing Director Jürgen de Vries and his son Jan de Vries are keen to take on new challenges.

The nursery relies on modern technology, such as the automatic loading of CC containers, a cutting robot, and a modern pricking out line. A new truck ramp and a larger logistics area make the shipping of plants even more efficient in peak season. As a pioneer, de Vries uses substrates made up of up to 70 percent peat substitute, thus further improving the quality of the heather plants.

What's new at de Vries?

In recent years, Gartenbau Jan de Vries has invested heavily in the automation of process workflows, a planting robot and a newly built propagation house increase the efficiency in young plant production. The logistics have also been optimized: With a multitude of machines, de Vries ensures that the entire shipping process is dry and takes place in the hall. This is achieved, among other things, by automated shipping lines that can load the CCs without personnel and intelligently keep count.

Furthermore, the product range is continuously optimized with a focus on new varieties, particularly the vibrant NEXXT varieties, in order to offer customers the best possible goods. De Vries has recently added many new packs to the offer, both 6 pack trays as well as brand new 4 pack concepts with emotionally designed tray handles, which facilitate sales at the point of sale. In addition, Jan de Vries has acquired the company shares at Marohn and Häger from Ulrich Häger this year and will also optimize the processes and the company there.

Gartenbau de Vries offers all Gardengirls concepts. The new products are always offered as complete concepts, including printed pot and stake label. New concepts in the de Vries range are constantly being added. For example, the range includes the Ewigheid concept, which combines the different durabilities of the heather plants and ensures a constantly fresh planting, and the Halloween Girls concept with a mystical color array of deciduous varieties. The aim of the nursery is to always implement new concepts, introduce them into the market, and drive the Gardengirls brand forward. From the beginning of August until November, one of the varietal shows of the Gardengirls takes place annually on the production area in Ammerland, where over 80 new and existing varieties and combinations are exhibited.

The prizes drawn will be listed in the respective contest description. Cash payout or exchange of the prizes are excluded. Prizes cannot be transferred to third parties (unless otherwise agreed in the contest). Participation in the prize draw is open to those who answer the contest question(s) correctly or fulfill the contest conditions.

Each participant can only participate once per contest. Multiple comments will be counted as a single entry. Comments that violate Instagram guidelines, German law and/or copyright will be removed without notice upon knowledge. The participant is thereby excluded from winning. The winner must contact info@gardengirls.de via email or send a private message to the Gardengirls Instagram page with their address details within 5 business days. If the winner does not contact within this period, the prize will be redrawn among all participants. All Instagram names of the participants will be recorded and stored for determining the winner.
